How to make an interactive whiteboard for under $100.00

I came across a website with a couple of YouTube clips detailing how to make an interactive whiteboard with a projector screen, a wii remote and modified ordinary pen.  It is pretty amazing and just thought I would share it with others.  This could be the answer for schools with limited resources.

  1. Hi Meryl, I have to say thanks for that link! It's incredible to think that I could have that kind of resource sitting doing nothing! Definitely a worthy use of my Wii remote! (Other then trying to get to the next level of guitar hero!) I can't believe that it's possible... I need to find myself one of those little light things then I'll never stop playing!

  2. Hi Zelina,

I'm glad you liked it. I stumbled upon it after looking up the coolcat teacher wiki. There are some really interesting articles on that site but I thought the interactive whiteboard was great! There are some ingenious minds out there and it makes you wonder what they will come up with next.

    Cheers

  3. That was really cool Merly, Thanks. I do have to wonder if there is any copy right laws I would breach if I created this. Well there goes the governments excuses for not having one in every classroom.

  4. Hi Sylvia,
Thanks for your feedback! Good point! You would have to look into this. I don't know if anyone can tell you what you should or shouldn't do with your wiimote though. Maybe setting these up in classrooms everywhere would shame the government into allocating more Web 2 technologies for schools (a bit of wishful thinking anyway!

    Cheers
