I found setting up Really Simple Syndication (RSS) feeds very straightforward and easy! A refreshing change for me!:)
I believe RSS is a great tool for promoting 'learning engagement' (Kearsley, & Shneiderman, 1999), as students can easily access, connect and collaborate in groupwork. Students can also collaborate with their teachers, parents and other experts, who can answer questions and share opinions which enhance students' understanding and learning. Suitable websites can also forward up to date information increasing students' knowledge base. Furthermore, through RSS, teachers can keep track of students' postings, making sure that posts are suitable and students are on track with their projects (Richardson, 2004).
